Where Independent Creatives Find Each Other
NeueHaus is a network of people, and Spektrum is the app where that network lives. Vetted members show their work, find each other by role, expertise, industry and city, and get in touch. I have been design-engineering it end to end since the first commit in December 2024: product, design system, front end, data, payments, email, infrastructure. The whole thing.
Profiles as Bodies of Work
We don’t really care about an impressive client list. We care about the work and the people behind it. So a profile has three tabs, About, Projects and Experience, and projects carry credits, tags and galleries. It reads like a portfolio, not a résumé. Public profiles are indexed by search engines through an explicit allow-list of columns for anonymous visitors: members can be found from the outside, and nothing private ever leaves the database. The editor keeps drafts in session storage, so an accidental close costs nothing. Small things, but they are the difference between a tool people tolerate and one they use.
Status Update
Spektrum went into production in early 2025 and is live at app.neuehaus.io.
Stack: SvelteKit 2 and Svelte 5, TypeScript, Tailwind 4, Supabase, Sanity, Algolia, OpenAI and Voyage embeddings, Neo4j, Stripe, Loops, Cloudflare Pages and Workers, Turborepo.
